Who you are dealing with
This site is operated by Oregon Vinegar Co., LLC, 2225 Cedar Street, Forest Grove, Oregon 97116, United States. In these terms, “we” and “us” mean Oregon Vinegar Co., LLC, and “you” means the person using the site or placing an order. By using the site you accept these terms.
Orders
Placing an order is an offer to buy. A contract is formed when we send you an email confirming the order has shipped, not when you click the button and not when the payment is authorised.
We may decline or cancel an order — for example if an item is out of stock, if we cannot ship to your address, if we cannot verify the payment, or if the order looks fraudulent or is for resale without our agreement. If we cancel an order you have paid for, we refund it in full.
Prices and payment
Prices are in US dollars and can change at any time, but a change never affects an order we have already accepted. Sales tax is added where we are required to collect it, and is shown before you pay. Shipping is charged as set out in Shipping and Returns.
Payment is taken by Stripe. If a price or product description on the site is obviously wrong, we may correct it and cancel any affected order rather than honour the error — we will always tell you and refund you if that happens.
About the product
POME vinegars are raw, unfiltered apple cider vinegars, made as a food. Sediment, haze, mother and batch-to-batch variation are natural and expected — see Shipping and Returns.
Nothing on this site is medical or nutritional advice, and nothing we say about our vinegar should be read as a claim that it treats, prevents or cures anything. If you have a health condition, are pregnant, or are taking medication, talk to a qualified professional rather than to a vinegar maker.
We describe our apples, our method and our testing as accurately as we can. Photographs are representative; the colour of a raw product varies between batches and between screens.
Accounts
If you create an account, keep your password to yourself and tell us if you think someone else has it. You are responsible for what happens under your account. We may suspend an account that is being used abusively or fraudulently.
Reviews and anything else you post
Product reviews are open to verified purchasers. Write what you actually think — we do not remove reviews for being unfavourable. We do remove content that is abusive, dishonest, unlawful, off-topic, or that makes health claims we are not allowed to publish. By posting, you give us permission to display your words on the site.
Our content
The POME name and logo, the text, the photography and the design of this site belong to Oregon Vinegar Co., LLC. You may not copy them for commercial use without our written permission. You are welcome to link to us, quote us fairly with attribution, and share our recipes with a credit.
Liability
We stand behind what we make. If we get an order wrong, we will replace it or refund it as described in Shipping and Returns.
Beyond that, and to the extent the law allows, our total liability for any order is limited to what you paid for it, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses. The site itself is provided as it is — we work to keep it accurate and available, but we do not guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or your rights as a consumer under applicable law.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Oregon, and any dispute will be handled by the state or federal courts serving Washington County, Oregon. If you are a consumer, this does not take away the protection of the law of the state where you live.
Changes
We may update these terms. The version published here when you place an order is the one that applies to that order. If a section of these terms turns out to be unenforceable, the rest of them still stand.
